Chris Dadd has been actively driving mobile media adoption as part of the marketing mix for over ten years and last week he left the GSM Association to run a new startup called ZenithMist.

“I left the GSMA having successfully led the team delivering major strategic projects, for instance NFC, and embedded. With deep relationships across their membership of nearly 800 mobile operators, I wanted to take this competitive advantage into my new start-up venture”. said Chris. “After a slow start, mobile commerce and payments are in massive growth with the likes of Paypal doubling their own forecast to $3bn this year. It’s time to bring my vision to market by combining products and services into a significant value-add.”

ZenithMist is a mobile agency engaging brands and social enterprise with their consumers. With our blend of idea generation, service creation and communication craft, we will help businesses grow using an integrated mix of text, apps, insights, social networking and bottom line focus. We’re different because we’ll consider equity in exchange for our time if we believe in the brand’s opportunity more than they’re prepared to fund up front.

Dadd goes on to share his thoughts on disparity to clarity, “Today, there’s not enough intelligence used to join up the customer relationship management for above-the-line promotions, e-commerce merchandising, footfall into high-rent shops and immature mobile services. We aim to change the game from being pure tactical campaigns to one of conscious focus on their consumers lifetime value.”

Naturally, ZenithMist cannot do all this alone; they have signed partnerships with a range of companies with specialities in mcommerce, app stores, e-commerce carts, internet marketing and tribe gatherings. These will be announced in the coming weeks.
